Abstract
This article aims to xamine some discursive fields present at the newly
created Museu do Futebol, located at the Pacaembu Stadium
(São Paulo). The first field, political and cultural,
outlines the issues of "identity construction". The second field,
scenographic and spatial, outlines the relationship between its
immaterial collection and the public, focusing the emotions and
concepts that harbors. The correspondences between these fields make
the Museum a relevant sample of the advanced stage of the links between
government, private enterprise, cultural management and technological
devices that are producing consensus via immersive mass entertainment
in Brazil.
