El trabajo se divide en tres partes independientes: las dificultades específicas que conlleva utilizar un entorno histórico para exponer; la ausencia y el miedo a utilizar la tecnología, prejuicio común en todo lo referente al tema patrimonial y para acabar las nuevas formas de plantear la enseñanza del patrimonio religioso.
El congreso del año 1934, Conferencia internacional de Estudios de Arquitectura y Servicios de los Museos de Arte, celebrado precisamente en Madrid sobre los temas referentes a los museos de arte, especificaba claramente que no se debía utilizar un edificio de una época (estilo) para albergar colecciones de otro diferente.
Patrimonio religioso. Cuando ha surgido el tema he comentado que en mis periplos para impartir seminarios sobre el tema del montaje de exposiciones, me he encontrado entre los asistentes en diferentes países con religioso de diferentes creencias, que por su responsabilidad en el tema patrimonial se preparan específicamente para ello. Desde católicos que llevan colecciones en el interior de Brasil, hasta calvinistas titulares de pequeñas iglesias en Noruega. Sin embargo, nunca me he encontrado con una situación similar en nuestro país.
